If you get a chance, you should check out the USAF Band of Mid-America. In addition to their main group, they have a side group called Hot Brass. They are a ten piece group that uses trumpets, trombone, tuba, guitar and vocals. They do a lot of pop and funk tunes. I have a recording of them somewhere I can try to find!
